GUIDED TOURS

We offer guided tours in the historic Āgenskalns market pavilion for groups of up to 20 people! In addition to the tour, it's possible to arrange tastings with the vendors, as well as a market flavor selection table at the end of the tour.

If you want to explore the rich history of Agenskalns Market, we offer various types of excursions:

 

  • Guided tour for groups of up to 20 people;

  • An in-depth guided tour of the contents, history and restoration of the market for groups of up to 20 people;

  • Guided tour with tastings at the vendors;

  • Guided tour with a prepared meal – a sampling table of market flavours – at the end of the tour on the second floor.

Prices: single group tour 80 EUR + VAT

Group size: up to 20 persons (colleagues, tourists, groups of friends, families, pupils, students)

 

For guides, tourist groups and everyone interested we can also offer:

  • Tasting table from market traders;

  • Meals from market cafés; 

  • Cooking masterclasses in the communal kitchen and various creative workshops; 

  • A self-guided tour of the market by scanning the QR codes displayed in the market; 

  • Room hire for events of different sizes at the Youth Station, the Greenhouse, the Market Courtyard or the RE CEP TE co-creation kitchen;

  • Cultural events (please see the "What's on" section for the current schedule of events, the flea market is regularly held on Sundays).

Environmental accessibility:

 

Agenskalns Market is located in a historic building, which has been granted the status of a State Protected Cultural Monument, but the market has been adapted to be accessible to people with reduced mobility and visitors with pushchairs.

 

We strive to be open and accessible to everyone, so for the convenience of visitors there are:

  • Free parking (<2 h) in the market courtyard;

  • Parking for disabled persons in the market yard;

  • A ramp to enter the market pavilion from the car park;

  • Elevator;

  • Adapted facilities for disabled persons and parents with small children;

  • Bicycle parking at the market entrance;

  • Dog friendly market!
